Peter Van Dyke addressed the concepts of asset allocation, and efficient frontier to generate diversified portfolio with high returns and low risks. Mr. Van Dyke guided the students through a workshop to apply the concepts of creating a diversified portfolio using stocks, bonds, and cash.

Henry Gundlach discussed stock evaluations, and the importance of relationship between brokers and their clients. Mr. Gundlach shared his approach of evaluating securities but more importantly shared his strategy to evaluate and help your clientele reach their financial goals while becoming an efficient portfolio manager.

In early May, Jim Price’s lecture shared his expertise and spoke on the subject of Watching for Seachanges – the major economic trends. Mr. Price gained his experience as a managing partner of Alex. Brown & Sons in Baltimore, MD.

Matthew McCabe

Matthew McCabe
Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy, Washington College

Dr. McCabe led a discussion about business ethics by means of definitions and examples of past unethical issues. Matthew McCabe obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 2001 with a dissertation entitled Ethical Caring and the Physician-Patient Relationship: A Dual Defense of a Virtue Ethics of Care. Dr. McCabe is also interested in researching business ethics, professional ethics and the philosophy of law.
